Boiled over

I am feeling a little boiled over, not mad but overwhelmed.  I have been sick (including leaving work early today) more times this year than all the years combined since the day I left college. I honestly believe it could be my body telling me to slow down and try to stop stressing. This year I have had a plate full, not necessarily bad just too much.

Work (thank goodness I still have a job) but with layoffs my work load doubled, literally. We laid someone off and I now do both our jobs.

House Hunting, for some reason I decided now was the time to try to find my own piece of something.

CPA, seriously will I ever pass you?!?

Wedding, not that I am not excited and love M, but really, is now the time to try to plan this thing?

Sorry for the lack of me around here and no beautiful shoes around these parts, just trying to get through the rest of the year, no more crazy stuff added to my plate please?

Happy Merry Christmas

So I have the best boy ever! I just had to share my Christmas present with you all because it is so fantastic and I cannot wait until we have a house and can frame it and put it up. If any of you follow Mark Schwartz blog, High Heeled Art you might of seen the picture below posted up on Christmas. Well it is sold because it is mine!

My wonderful M had this made for me.  It has the shoe, champagne and purple. Such a fantastic surprise. Hope everyone's Christmas' treated you well.  There is one more on there that I want to add because I think it will be a perfect fit with this one. So stay away until I can convince M into buying the other one!

My new haircut

So with all the Jersey Shore talk and what not I am not sure who has  seen this video but it is the greatest youtube ever!

My New Haircut

I am only inserting the link since there is some language content (well actually lots) but put the headphones on and take a look. After I have had a few glasses of bubbles I believe that I have a new haircut, "Not now chief, I'm in the F%^$&* zone!" I tend to disclose that to a lot of people.

All I want for Christmas

1. What I really really really want:

I really would love to be in a house and not in a tiny apartment sitting on a blow up mattress to watch tv. Seriously I just want a house to fall from the sky and into my lap, well probably not in my lap as that might cause some problems.

2. I still dream about these boots daily.

3. Craving this skirt from Free People for New Years:

4. Lastly the one thing that sits high on my list that would make #1 a lot easier. A big fat raise.  Well hopefully I will see something come around.  Long story but I DO deserve one. via google image

If I do not have a chance to get on here again have a great Christmas to those who celebrate. Those that do not, Happy Holidays.

A whole lot of nothing

That was my weekend. So I told you guys last week that I was high on the anxiety/depressive side and decided I was going to take a weekend to myself. I went out to my parents and did not much. My mom and I headed to Barnes and Noble for some books for the little cousins, so much fun, brings back so many memories of books when we were little and my new favorite is Fancy Nancy (pic via). As we were poking around the kids section there was a father and his two year old girl there. She was pulling the toys (stuffed characters, etc.) and then putting them back very nicely. At one point she had to walk past me and in her polite little voice said "Excuse me", she was so great! Her Dad said they come there every Saturday morning for a little while. So cute, he was the big tough guy, tatto'd up, shaved head, and on and on. Someone it seemed I would not want to mess with but his little girl was the world.

Other than my Barnes and Noble trip I pretty much was a huge lazy butt. I slept until noon on Sunday and then was back in bed by ten (which is early for me). Such a refreshing weekend and was the pick me up I needed. Hope everyon's weekend was fantastic and holiday shopping was finished or near completed. Ahhh cannot wait until Thursday for food and family.

I cannot stop

Shopping that is. I seriously have issues when it comes to buying gifts for people.  Just finished of the last piece for the sister and brother/sister-in-law while on my conference call.  While looking for a personalized "tavern" sign for my brother I came across this:
(via)
I found it on Etsy at SportsFanCraftsman. Now I think wow I finished M shopping a long long time ago but something like this for him? I do not know.  I have spent way over budget already (remember the whole saving money trying to pay for a wedding and buy a house thing?) But this just seems too perfect and his birthday is not until September, well I saved it to my favories for the time being but who knows it might just end up purchased and hidden away for when we actually have a house, only if it does not end up in my living (yes I said MY).

So You all read the other day was just plain blah. I think my anxiety is starting to get the best of me, there is a ton going on right now and it is starting to catch up and make my head a big mush pot. So this weekend I decided that I would skip out on my friends white trash party and take some time for me (M will be at the dropzone alllll weekend). So I am going to catch up on stuff for my sisters bridal shower/bachelorette, sleep and spend some time with Mama. Hopefully after that things will start to sort themselves out in my head.

In better news M surprised me last night by making a pit stop at WalMart and picking up The Hangover. Seriously my favorite comedy of all time! I love this movie and put me to bed last night on a better note. If you want a good laugh this will definitely provide it for you.  Anyone else out there?  Alright this is long enough till next time...

......

That is pretty much what today feels like to me. I do not want to work, shop (I know right), all I want to do is curl up in bed and watch movies.

I might have some good news on the horizon but do not want to get to hopeful about it but at this point thats kind of the only thing keeping me positive today. I for sure have grumpy pants on today.

I did find the most gorgeous wedding shoes over at Leigh Miller Photography.

Now if I could find them in purple.

To and fro

Last night was kinda the start to my weekend, not really because I still have to work all week but last night we had our work Christmas party.  Nothing crazy but the bankers and traders and PE guys all loved on me! Well not on me but in me, no wait that didn't sound right either. Whatever they bought me drinks once the Company decided that we had enough, bwahahahahahaha, yeah right!

So last night was fun, this morning not so much. Tonight I am meeting the girls out for some Mojitos and fantastic crab cakes! Tomorrow is our department party at our CFO's house, and Saturday we wrap up with my friends annual holiday party in the city. This week I am a very busy lady.

On another note I came across this post on Hostess with the Mostest today and thought it is a great thing to pass along. This family whose 5-year old little girl is fighting for her life against brain cancer are trying to bring happiness to all the children who are fighting for their lives. If you have a moment check out the website: PrayforKate.com.  They are collecting toys (must be new due to their immune systems) or gift cards to stores to buy toys.

If this one doesn't hit you here are some other sites that I feel strongly about supporting:
Coats for Kids
Princess Project
Make A Wish

Yes they do all relate to children, they are the innocent, the ones who will love endlessly and smile constantly and give us all a breath of fresh air when the world seems to be against us. They cannot help their situation but you can.

Hmm I just reread that and sounds a bit infomercialish. Oh well I truly mean it.

Happy Holidays.

Hercules Hercules Hercules

Ok so people are getting creative with the table number thing at weddings and well my brother put different pictures of my nephew dressed up in a tux. So very cute!

Giving a hi-five.

Mister Herc posing in his tux.

Another pose.
Seriously how cute is he. I have not been actually able to meet him but apparently these poses did not surprise my Mom whatsoever because he believes that he is a star. My brother named him Hercules. He has always wanted an English Bulldog with the name Herc.

Well I just thought I would show the pictures because Bananas post the other day reminded me of the studly boy.

mmmmmmmmmm

Ed Westwick makes me drool, and definitely on my list. Well tonight on a GG commercial we heard his accent, seriously if I was a guy I would have, yeah lets not go there. But yummy. (source)

Weekend Warriors

So this weekend M and I ran all over the North Bay this weekend, from Napa to Rohnert Park and onto Sonoma. From all over the North Bay to the Livermore Valley on Sunday. Ugh wedding venues, not really sure if we are really ready to drop that kind of cash on a one day event. I did find where we would do a dream wedding if we could:

Absolutely gorgeous property and perfect in every way. At the heart of Sonoma. I only wish that we could afford it. So gorgeous. But the search goes on to find something within our budget that we like.

Thoughts and prayers to everyone's sunshine.

There here!

Yea they are here and they are super cute in person (yes I was a little worried). Cannot wait to show them off! In very good news: the building I work in won some Green award and are doing Champange and food with a band in about T-minus 1 hour. Yea!

Christmas tomorrow

So I was going about my morning business and reading all the blogs in my daily reading and I headed over to check out what Tiffany at I am Style-ish had going on today, and shoot, should not have gone there, like whoa. Umm did anyone see the Badley Mischka ruffle shoes she had up? Drool. So I did a quick little google since Nordstrom (where she had them linked) had only a size to small for me.  Well I found them at endless.com. So tomorrow I will have these little babies handed to me at work:

source: endless.com

So cute right? I have been looking for some new black pumps too. Oh and if you guys have never heard of ebates.com and do online shopping (bananas I know you are a guilty party) then you should really check out the website because apparently you get cash back in the mail for purchases made online. I will let you know when and if I actually get money back (like whoa I actually just looked and February!?! Well guess I have more time to accumulate).

Hope everyone has a great hump day. Dinner with the sisters tonight and I am going to introduce them to the 30 day shred, like whoa didn't know videos could actually make you sore.

Hmmm why am I saying like whoa so much, hopefully that ends quick.

Brrrrrrr

Ok so you all have probably heard how much I hate the heat, yes I do but it is so cold. So along with a serious distaste of hot weather I also have a distaste for the heater. So my place is really cold right now and my fingers are just about freezing. So instead of turning the heat on I am going to cut this very short, crawl in bed under the blankets and hopefully shortly be on my way to zzz's.

Hope everyone had a fantastic Tuesday, tomorrow is humpday, yea!

By the way anyone have any places the know of in Northern California for weddings that are reasonably priced? Ugghhh probably my least favorite thing to do right now.
