Killing it.

Until I get my life together again (i.e. laundry, clean house, write thank yous, finish putting the corner of gifts away) I will be sharing pictures cause really who wants to know the daily details of getting my house orderly again? And I need to get it orderly again so I can start an outlet for my creative side again. Maybe build some more furniture, make throw pillows for the seesters. Thinking these pillows from Ballard Designs would be really fun to make for one of the seesters
(find them here)

But off to get this butt to work so I can get home and start the clean up the house process. So I leave you with this on this glorious Friday morning.
Seriously our photographer rocked it. Candice you are amazing!
(From our day after shots with Candice from Serendipity Studios).

He awaits

What seems like years ago, I discussed my pure obsession with Bradley Cooper. Of course it has gone no where, and since he has split from Renee, now is my chance. M and I have an agreement, this is my guy. If I have a chance with him I am jumping on it.  I mean come on!
Both images from google image.

Oh in other news, totally checked another item off my wish list from Christmas time. Next week two of these babies will be arriving at our house.
I LOVE the fact that M wants to get the house actually "up and going" since his family will be here for the wedding. Gives him a little room for justification of purchases, and bumps up the projects to actually get some done. The living room in FINALLY put back together after a month and a half. The next step would be to pick out the crown moulding and the new baseboards and put those in. Somehow I doubt that will be getting done anytime soon though.  Hey a girl can dream though can't she. . . Maybe I can at least hope for a painted bedroom?

I think the next item on my list is my deer head. . .

So not winning.

So since I started the new job my responsibilities have almost tripled (yes I started in December) how the hell can responsibilities triple in a matter of 3 months! Life sucks in regards to work right now. And that leave less time for blogging, I know right!??!

But I have a number of things keeping me busy outside of work as well.
A little bit of this:
Seriously, NEVER again. Wow just noticed the wall looks a little blue, totally grey.

Way to much of this:
Via google image

Which did lead to some wish list items (well really just one).

Oh and of course cannot forget my new favorite beauties!
I love getting a new pair of shoes at 60% off!

Of course a lot of hanging out with this beautiful girl.
Yeah, she is filthy, but she has that glimmer in her eye like woooohooo!

Been hanging out with her doing things like this:
Seriously, no better place to live! Bay Area!!!

So hopefully I will force myself to get back to blogging because honestly, I miss it. Miss catching up with everyone. So until next time, happy trails.

Serious pains

Of the not shopping kind. I seriously think that I am having shopping withdrawals right now. I am desperate to spend some money. Maybe something along the lines of these:

Mr. Louboutin you can do no wrong.
Seriously purple suede, you had me at purple.
Both above via: net-a-porter.com

Yeah so what if they both are purple pumps, does not mean they are anything alike, suede and patent, totally different.
Thinking these for our bedside tables? With the mirrors here behind them? Yes my taste ranges, honestly if I could decorate my entire house with Jonathan Adler, I would.
Our house has a serious obsession with animals (that would be M), and all things porcelain and white resin (oh I have it so bad).
Lamp and deer head from Z Gallerie.

Thinking that maybe M and I will just go elope so that I can buy all of the above plus some. I hate not shopping! Any suggestions, I need rehab.

New "Traditions"

So yesterday I bought this box:

Well the box will say our last name and so forth. M and I were not fans of the sand deal and found out from our priest that the unity candle had no tradition significance, so we decided to do something that would be a little more "us".  And what do we love almost as much as each other (I know gag right), we love wine. So we are going to go with this new trend people are doing and sealing up two letters, a bottle of wine, and anything else we would like to see in 5 or ten years. For full details check out this website which talks about it.

In other news M ordered the cables for the TV so we (him) can crack open the wall to hide it all and then we can paint the living room. then next will be painting the bedroom so since the bedroom will finally be painted I have been looking around for decorating items and I am obsessed with the mirror behind the table lamps idea. Something along the lines of these:
reblogged from desiretoinspire.net, originally Nichloas Haslam

Since we have non-matching bedside tables (we decided to go that route rather than matchy matchy) I want to match the table lamps and mirrors on the sides (or maybe just the mirrors) eh who knows.
Now I just have to find mirrors and lamps that I like.  Shouldn't be to hard, who am I kidding, it is a pain in the arse.

Eeeeeeeeee just found out good friends of ours closed on their house! They are moving closer to us! Woohoo.

So I should get back to work now.... Opps Happy Thursday.

Sunday bloody Sunday

Whewww... was yesterday a whirlwind. Yeah sure it took me a while to get out of bed but when I did I found this mess.
Marcel has gotten up before me and destroyed our house. Not in a literal sense but my M had pulled out the boxes and started the process and then decided to move on to the project of the ceiling fan in our bedroom. I love my guy to death but holy moly does he has ADD.

At the end of the day it all ended up cleaned up and we ended up with a brand new spankin ceiling fan with an overhead light! Yeah I do not understand why houses were not built with overhead lighting? Seriously?!?!?! So we my boy toy put up our light this weekend with a ceiling fan. I cannot wait to use it once the weather gets warm. Although I would just prefer it to stay like this.  I know I know blah blah blah, but I like the cold weather. So check it out, our new fan/light. Plus it has a remote that we could put right near the bed so there is no having to fight over who has to get up to turn it off.  Once we figure out actual room settings it could move.
So much to do still to do in our room, like paint, but first thing comes first and that is the living room. The picture above at least the garland is hiding the wires and the tree is hiding where a shelf has been ripped off, and the paint is still gross from the previous owners, so that room comes first! Crossing fingers still that the wires will be done for my birthday.

I also worked on organizing our linen closet this weekend.  Not to much progress yet but at least I  know whats in there now. Now for the long week (since the previous two were short).  Here is to a great 2011. I cannot believe I am getting married this year!!!!

Oh yeah New Years was ok but nothing exciting, pretty standard. Cheers to the work week.

Christmas Wishes

So this year my Christmas list is a bit different from last years. We did get out house finally in New Year (January 2010!) I do find though that now I want things for the house, and my new creative bug that has hit do to house projects.

One of these would come in handy as I try to build furniture (and yes I added a bench to my short list of built items):
(via)

And one of these would allow me to give my Mom her machine back:
(via: google image)

And I would LOVEEEE two of these for our lounge area off the kitchen:
(via)

And of course could not forget the "necessities" and since it has been raining here for what seems like FOREVER and is going to continue to rain I really want a new pair of these:

And yes in auburgine please.

These too please! Ohhh I die!
(via)

And please excuse me California why can I not have python shipped here???? For the love of fashion!@#$!

Hope everyone has a great holiday, especially the Brown's whose year seems like it is looking to end on a good note. Congrats!

Not so neverland

So I have been missing, well there have been many things going on, bachlorette weekend, housewarming party prep, Chloe finally acting like a puppy. We have been so crazy busy with things trying to get all the little things done for the housewarming party that our poor pup has been feeling a bit neglected and the cat thinking he is king of all things (oh yeah we got a cat too, one who has spent the last couple weeks hopping around the house). I wish I was still in Neverland Peter, the adultland is draining my fun.

So the biggest project of all? Our new patio table. Seriously this is what I have been working on for the past week and a half (that and studying for the CPA exam, well sort of). We are super proud of it. Of course I was the starter of the project but I had to have M's help on the finishing end in order to help assemble it. The next project on hand is the bench and chairs to go with it. We will get there at some point.
We made this with the help of a fabulous website by Ana White.
Knock-Off Wood

The next thing that was taken care of was the guest bathroom mirror.
Seriously this was the mirror that we moved in to. I hated it, despised it. So since the move in date I have been looking for something to replace it with. Finally while strolling through Home Depot I found something that can work with the current bathroom.

So much better, and you can actually see yourself in the mirror previously I swear all you could see was your eyes so this is a HUGE improvement. Still not my ideal but it will definitely do until we can afford to have the bathroom itself redone.

So these are some of the things that I have been doing over the past couple weeks. Oh and now it is on to redoing my resume, since its time that I have to find a new job, the first person (post acquisition announcement) has announced their departure. Sad and I hate it but I guess it is time. So time to update and get my name out there!

Toodooolooooooosss!

My poor fingers...

So back from Tahoe and finally recouped. Let me tell you Mr. Patron, you are so not my friend anymore. Give me a PBR and you have the energizer bunny. Ugghhhh no wonder I gave up shots, seriously Monday morning came and I almost called in sick, from Saturday night! How do I get my tolerance back from when I was 24?!?!

Onward and upward. I finally got our San Francisco print framed and now we just need to figure out where it is going to go.  I love this print and it totally represents M and I since that is where we lived and met. I colored in our neighborhoods and where we spent a lot of our time. I love the city and even though we have our little home I really do love everything that Russian Hill (will always be my hood) and everything it had to offer.
I also finally started my studding project on my chucks! Remember way back when I said I was going to. Well started, and although I am not sure that I do actually like the size on them I do  not think I would like the smaller studs either. So here I am starting.
And here is the end, I am really thinking that I would prefer to have done the smaller studs. What do you guys think. If the studs are smaller I can still take these out since the holes would be covered up but I don't know. And yes I have only done one since I am pretty sure that my fingers are beyond bruised from doing this shoe alone. Opinions please?
Alright I am off to bed.  Sleepy sleepy. Yea for tomorrow being "Friday". Pretty sure that I will be doing absolutely nothing come the actual Friday, and no booze until the bubbles bus since I want to make sure I can fully enjoy it, especially after my new enemy Mr. Patron.

Chalk it up

It is finally done! My black board wall is completed and working well.

Before I go there though, all I can say is thank goodness last week is over! I still have our 10-K that still is to be done but our LLC report went out on Friday and  the sisters bridal shower was Saturday! So two things causing me stress are finally out the door. The bridal shower went well, I had 30 women in my house, we were a little restricted to the house since the weather well... did not work with us on Saturday. Sunday was perfect! I sat on the couch and that is where I resided all day. Ok so you guys want to know about the wall?

Here is the wall before. Oh yes the whole kitchen is that awful I think I used to be an ivory wall but now I kinda look yellow. Another project to get through.  So the wall is texturized and you need a flat wall to paint the chalk board paint on so I had to sand it down. Totally reccommend an electric sander if you have one considering my shoulders still do not feel so hot. So sanding away and then once done make sure you wash down the wall to get all dust off.

Here is the paint that I used (all images me, except this one from google images). The wall needed two coats to stay warm in my kitchen since the oven doesn't get turned on to much.
Check it out, this was my bubble. I seriously spent more time putting "the bubble" up than it would of been for me to clean up but cleaning, not my bag of chips. So it took me an hour to put this up and tape and I still had to clean up after. Okay enough is enough (well maybe I just want to go to sleep, actually I want to watch K. Kardashian poo out her baby). So here it is!
I found the silver magnet strip at the container store and thought it might be a fun addition. The 1 year 3  months, that was for M since he has been out of town for 3 weeks and I thought he might need a reminder that I am here waiting for him. Oh yeah the clean up (i.e. making the lines straight come once he gets home to take the cabinet doors down).

Toodles loves!
