Yiiippppppeeee!

So I have been a little MIA, well the reason is this key over there -> Well ladies and gents that key is to my new house! Yes finally we have a home, so excited and this week has been crazy trying to prep to move, furniture buying and everything. This weekend is moving weekend! I am so excited, now to add the white picket fence and dog.  Well probably not the white picket fence but definitely going to be checking on the dog!

More details to come once the moving actually starts and we are actually at the house longer than a half hour.

Boiled over

I am feeling a little boiled over, not mad but overwhelmed.  I have been sick (including leaving work early today) more times this year than all the years combined since the day I left college. I honestly believe it could be my body telling me to slow down and try to stop stressing. This year I have had a plate full, not necessarily bad just too much.

Work (thank goodness I still have a job) but with layoffs my work load doubled, literally. We laid someone off and I now do both our jobs.

House Hunting, for some reason I decided now was the time to try to find my own piece of something.

CPA, seriously will I ever pass you?!?

Wedding, not that I am not excited and love M, but really, is now the time to try to plan this thing?

Sorry for the lack of me around here and no beautiful shoes around these parts, just trying to get through the rest of the year, no more crazy stuff added to my plate please?

All I want for Christmas

1. What I really really really want:

I really would love to be in a house and not in a tiny apartment sitting on a blow up mattress to watch tv. Seriously I just want a house to fall from the sky and into my lap, well probably not in my lap as that might cause some problems.

2. I still dream about these boots daily.

3. Craving this skirt from Free People for New Years:

4. Lastly the one thing that sits high on my list that would make #1 a lot easier. A big fat raise.  Well hopefully I will see something come around.  Long story but I DO deserve one. via google image

If I do not have a chance to get on here again have a great Christmas to those who celebrate. Those that do not, Happy Holidays.

I cannot stop

Shopping that is. I seriously have issues when it comes to buying gifts for people.  Just finished of the last piece for the sister and brother/sister-in-law while on my conference call.  While looking for a personalized "tavern" sign for my brother I came across this:
(via)
I found it on Etsy at SportsFanCraftsman. Now I think wow I finished M shopping a long long time ago but something like this for him? I do not know.  I have spent way over budget already (remember the whole saving money trying to pay for a wedding and buy a house thing?) But this just seems too perfect and his birthday is not until September, well I saved it to my favories for the time being but who knows it might just end up purchased and hidden away for when we actually have a house, only if it does not end up in my living (yes I said MY).

So You all read the other day was just plain blah. I think my anxiety is starting to get the best of me, there is a ton going on right now and it is starting to catch up and make my head a big mush pot. So this weekend I decided that I would skip out on my friends white trash party and take some time for me (M will be at the dropzone alllll weekend). So I am going to catch up on stuff for my sisters bridal shower/bachelorette, sleep and spend some time with Mama. Hopefully after that things will start to sort themselves out in my head.

In better news M surprised me last night by making a pit stop at WalMart and picking up The Hangover. Seriously my favorite comedy of all time! I love this movie and put me to bed last night on a better note. If you want a good laugh this will definitely provide it for you.  Anyone else out there?  Alright this is long enough till next time...

Candy

This weekend definitely started out on the wrong foot.  I had to work Saturday (it is that time of the quarter, blaaghhh) and I was driving to work and I was almost there and I realized I forgot my badge to get in. So I had to turn around go home and get it, add 2 hours on to my day. I also had to head up to the north bay after for my old bosses 30th birthday.

So on to my actual weekend of today.  I had a busy one.  My mission was to at least clean up the closet. This has been my closet since M and I moved in a couple weeks ago. It has been a mess and frustrates me daily when I am trying to find something to wear.  These pictures were a little disturbing as it finally was sinking in what a mess it was. So I ran errands, did the grocery store and of course my once a week Target run (M said I need a Target intervention). So I off I went to run errands pick up some stuff to try to get me organized.

Of course while running my errands what did I have to wear? My Louboutin shirt of course. (Bathroom photo shoot a la oofa) During my trip running around I decided to run into one of my favorite shoes stores, Foot Candy, and tried on the Louboutin Bianca.  I wish I wish I wish they had it in my size because had they I would be sporting some new gorgeous pumps! But then again I guess they didn't have them for a reason.  So I was wearing the shirt in Foot Candy and they loved my shirt, totally raved about it. Ahh thanks to Miss Liz.

So off I went back home to tackle the closet.  Took forever and I couldn't find my iPod to rock out to some music so that was a little boring. But here is the end result.  Well at least the closet is finally tackled and we can move on to the living room and get that under control because it seriously out of order.  Pictures will not even be had of that because well, its really embarrasing. As for and offer on a house last weekend, another denial, offer number 3 and increasing. Ugghhh

$400K anyone?

Meaning does anyone have that laying around to loan me? Serious house hunting issues. Every time a great one pops up on the market it is snagged up by someone with a cash offer. Seriously who are these people with $400K just lying around? And if you know them can you introduce me. I lost probably what was the best house ever to someone with all cash (insert curse words here). The best part about it, M was going to get a massive man room out of it. I mean it was huge, large enough to turn into a granny flat (with bedroom, bathroom, separate living space and kitchen, I mean fo' reals) and it was going to be allllll his.

So last night I went and checked out some places and found a great one, it was further out then we would prefer but it was great and it had 8,000 sq feet of RV parking. I mean perfect right then M could build the man cave to his specifications with space to do his home brewing and space for him to watch ESPN all day long.

So my attention span changing from house to man cave I googled man cave and got this definition fom the Official Man Cave website (first off I cannot believe they have their own website, AND show):

man cave n. A dedicated area of a house, such as a basement, workshop, or garage, where a man can be alone or socialize with his friends.

So I digress, house hunting sucks and I am tired of looking and M is in China so it sucks even more because he is apprehensive (even though he said well if you like it then I will). I am pretty sure I will be having one of these later:

Either that or some serious amounts of bubbly.

And I didn't forget... I received my first blog award! YEA!

I received this award from the lovely lady over at K. Law.  I have been following before I decided to join this little world of blogging. And this I bestow to other ladies I have followed since before the beginning:
Miss Unbeweavable (we share a passion for the red soles)
My favorite Banana (we also love our red soles as well as beer) - in fact I bestow this to all Louboutin and beer lovers!
and of course Kelly who always has something fabulous to show off! (Those cakes today, gasp).

Shoes and fro-yo makes everything seem better

So for the last 7 months (I cannot believe I have survived that long) I have been essentially homeless. To save money to make my first house purchase in the beautiful bay area possible I gave up my lease and moved my stuff into boyfriends, sisters, and parents. I have no permanent place I reside and instead move back and forth during the week dependent on if it is the weekend, if the boyfriend is out of town, or what the plans are.

About 2 months ago I started looking for a house and found one! In my mind it looked like this

White picket fence

Although I am pretty sure the yard looked more like this:

I guess I like to think I have a green thumb, but the house itself was awesome, so I put in an offer and well still nothing. Short sale, booo. So after waiting patiently for a month I have decided to look at some other houses (NOT short sales). During this time I was thinking I have some time, find something that is right don't rush. Well today, to turn a long story into a sentence: my boyfriends landlady is being ridiculous with them trying to get a new roommate in and says they can now only be the two of them so they essentially have to move out in the next couple days. HUH, what!?!?! This is on top of the numerous things going on with work that I cannot even begin to explain, because well, you wouldn't believe me.

So to make my day better I went and found these beautiful shoes at saks

Elizabeth and James "Lucy"

I then went and got some delicious frozen yogurt at my favorite place (half irish mint and half vanilla YUM). Hopefully this will put a positive spin on the house hunting tonight, hey at least I know there is a bottle of bubbles with my name on it in the fridge for after.

Wish me luck with the realtor tonight!
